Flying Medical Services transported 39-year-old Naramatisho more than 200 kilometres from her village to Kivulini Maternity Centre. Having high blood pressure complications, she delivered by Caesarian Section.
When she arrived, Naramatisho was severely anaemic, and had very high blood pressure too. She stayed with us for care for two weeks prior to delivery.
Naramatisho is her husband’s fourth wife. Her husband is very old. During her long stay in Kivulini Maternity Centre she had no visitors from her relatives, because they live so far away. She felt very lonely.
When she was being discharged, Maternity Africa supported her further with a care pack containing basic food and other items, because she has no other support. Her husband cannot work because he is too old and other relatives are not in a position to support her.
Press here to help Maternity Africa to care for other vulnerable women like Naramatisho. Thank you.
