Ruth was born in a poor family in 1988. She didn’t have a primary education. When she was young, she was encouraged to make money for the family by selling tomatoes. She was married when she was 25 years old and had 2 children already who were both born in
Government referral hospitals by C-sections.
Ruth arrived in Kivulini Maternity Centre on the 30th of July and required medical attention prior to a planned C-section. She received a blood transfusion to make her fit enough to undergo surgery and went into spontaneous labour.
Our 24 hour on-call emergency team were on hand to do a C-section and this 3kg baby boy was delivered at 04:25 on the 1 st of August. Ruth has been very happy with the care she and her little boy have received.
