Maria arrived at the labour ward in a wheelchair,  very distressed and in active labour, ready to push. The Midwives had no obstetric  history on the mother. Mama was assisted onto the delivery bed and stated she needed to push. She quickly progressed to a normal vaginal birth of a healthy baby boy weighing 2kgs.

The Midwives waited patiently for the placenta to be delivered but were surprised to observe a second baby spill out, breech still encased in the amniotic sac (encaule) The Midwives quickly responded to the unexpected arrival by opening the sac to free the baby to breathe. Maria was both shocked and delighted at the news of her 2 little boys adding wonderfully to her family of 2 little girls.
