In March, our dedicated team at Kivulini Maternity Centre worked tirelessly to care for women who came from various regions of Tanzania. Each patient’s story is unique, marked by challenges and triumphs, and it has been our privilege to be part of their healing journey. On this camp, We provided surgery to 41 women and each healed woman symbolizes a victory over adversity and a step toward eradicating obstetric fistula in Tanzania.
During the camp, we ensured that each woman received comprehensive care—physical, emotional, spiritual and psychological. Our full-time social workers provided counseling, while rehabilitation programs equipped patients with skills to reintegrate confidently into their communities.
While we celebrate these achievements, we recognize that the journey continues. The prevalence of obstetric fistula remains a pressing issue, and our commitment to combating it is stronger than ever.
